Suzanne Brown-McBride

Suzanne Brown-McBride began her work on behalf of sexual assault victims in 1991 as a community education specialist and advocate.  Since 1997, Suzanne has served as the Executive Director of two statewide associations of rape crisis programs.  Over her career, Suzanne has focused her efforts on the development of effective public policy related to sexual victimization, the supervision of sex offenders, and community responses to violence.  Suzanne is a gubernatorial appointee and Chair of the California Sex Offender Management Board. She is a founding member of the Steering Committee for the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (www.nsvrc.org), a Board Member of the Council of State Governments Justice Center (www.justicecenter.csg.org) and the National Alliance to End Sexual Violence (www.naesv.org).  Suzanne was honored to receive the “Outstanding Contribution to Victim Services Award” from the National Crime Victim’s Law Institute (www.ncvli.org), “The Governor’s Crime Victim Advocacy Award” from Governor Schwarzenegger and the “Fay Honey Knoff Award” from the California Coalition on Sexual Offending (www.ccoso.org).

Tony Ward

Tony Ward, PhD, MA, DipClinPsyc, is a clinical psychologist by training and has been working in the clinical and forensic field since 1987. He was formerly Director of the Kia Marama Sexual Offenders' Unit at Rolleston Prison in New Zealand, and has taught both clinical and forensic psychology at Victoria, Canterbury, and Melbourne Universities. He is currently Professor of Clinical Psychology and the Director of Clinical Training at Victoria University of Wellington. He is an associate editor of ANZATSA's journal (Sexual Abuse in Australia and New Zealand: An Interdisciplinary Journal) and he is also an associate editor of Sexual Abuse: A Journal of Research and Treatment and Legal and Criminological Psychology. Professor Ward is on the editorial board of many others. His research interests fall into four main areas: rehabilitation models and issues, cognition and sex offenders, the problem behaviour process in offenders, and ethical issues in forensic psychology. He has over 240 academic publications and his latest books include 'Rehabilitation: Beyond the risk paradigm' (Routledge, 2007) and 'Morals, rights, and practice in the human services' (Jessica Kingsley, 2009)

Robin Wilson

Robin J. Wilson is a researcher, educator, and psychologist who received his Ph.D. in Applied Cognitive Science from the University of Toronto in 1996. He has worked with sexual and other offenders in hospital, correctional, and private practice settings for over 20 years. He is presently the Clinical Director of the Florida Civil Commitment Center in Arcadia, Florida. Robin’s current interests are focused on the collaborative model of risk management and restoration in community settings. He has published and presented widely on the diagnosis and treatment of social and sexual psychopathology, and is a past recipient of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers' (ATSA) Graduate Research Award. He is presently the Editor of the ATSA Forum.
