At the Executive Meeting, held in Auckland on 31st August and 1st September,  it was agreed that the Association needed to continue working towards improving the flow of information to members, to facilitate forums for discussion and exchange of information and to enhance the profile of the Association in the broader child protection field.  The launching of a newsletter seemed like the most effective way of working towards achieving these goals.

NETWORKS is intended not only for members of the Association, but it will also be circulated to other individuals and agencies working in child protection and sexual abuse. The newsletter will not only include information about the activities and developments of the Association, but also information on service/program developments, articles or discussion papers on topical issues, book reviews and information on resources.

We aim for a quarterly publication, although the frequency will depend on contributions by members and readers of the newsletter, who are invited to forward their contributions for inclusion.
